As our valued customer, you will enjoy 24 Hours Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services provided by Inter Partner Assistance Hong Kong Limited free of charge. In case an accident happens or if you suffer from an illness while travelling outside Hong Kong, emergency hotline service and medical assistance services will be provided.

II. Medical Assistance Service

# Inter Partner Assistance Hong Kong Limited will provide guarantee of hospital expenses up to US$6,500. Such actual expenses will be reimbursed by The Ming An Insurance Co. (H.K.) Ltd. if benefits are covered under the existing policy.

• An Accidental Emergency Medical Insurance Card will be issued to you upon acceptance of your application. In case of misfortunes, you will receive immediate medical treatment by presenting your card at any one of the 4,000 Network hospitals in Mainland China. No pre-payment is required.
• Before you are discharged from the hospital, just complete and return the Claim Application Form to the hospital. The medical expenses concerned will be settled by The Ming An Insurance Co. (H.K.) Ltd.. If the medical expenses exceed the sum insured, you are only required to settle the extra costs incurred in excess of the basic coverage.

• Gold Card Protection Plan: Incurred outside the territories of Mainland China;
  Blue Card Protection Plan: Incurred outside the territories of the Guangdong and Fujian Provinces.
  
   
• For bodily injury or death directly or indirectly resulting from or consequent upon:
  
   

  a.	war, hostilities or warlike operations, loss or damage from Act of Terrorism, civil war, rebellion, strikes, riots or caused by or contributed to by or arising from ionizing radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion or nuclear fuel. For the purpose of this exclusion, combustion shall include any self-sustaining process of nuclear fission.
  b.	taking part in any illegal act or activities.
  c.	engaging in sports or games in a professional capacity or where an Insured would earn income or remuneration from engaging in sports.
  d.	participating in dangerous activities or sports
  e.	willfully exposing himself to needless peril (except in an attempt to save human life) or suicide, self-destruction, self-inflicted injury or any attempt threat whether sane or insane.
  f.	pregnancy, childbirth, dystocia, abortion or miscarriage.
  g.	fighting, attack resulting from provocation or deliberate act of Insured or insanity, intoxication or use of drugs (other than taken under a Medical Practitioner), rest cure or sanatorium care and dental treatment (except as necessitated by accidental injuries to sound natural teeth.)
  h.	engaging in any form of aerial flight or air travel other than as a passenger in a properly licensed multi-engined aircraft being operated by a licensed commercial air carrier or owned and operated by a commercial company.
  i.	veneral disease or HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and/or any HIV related illness including AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) and/or any mutant derivative or variations thereof howsoever caused.
  j.	pre-existing illness or bodily injury.
  k.	illness, infectious disease, psychiatric disorders or any bodily injury or death which is not caused by Accident or by any medical or surgical treatment other than treatment required on account of an Accident covered by this Policy.
  l.	in case of the Insured engaging service in the forces or police.

Important Notes

• All first treatment for bodily injury must be attended by a medical practitioner at the Hospital Network in Mainland China.
  
   
• If you settle the medical expenses yourself, you must complete the claim form and return it to The Prudential Assurance Co. Ltd. for The Ming An Insurance Co. (H.K.) Ltd. with the original hospital receipts and the original medical certificate issued by the attending doctor to make a claim. The part of emergency medical expenses that exceeds the sum insured will be borne by the Insured.
   
• If you lose the Accidental Emergency Medical Insurance Card or need to change information on the Card, you must inform The Prudential Assurance Co. Ltd. in writing. A handling fee of HK$100 will be charged for a replacement.
   
• Withdrawals are not permitted for a 1-year policy.
   
• For 2-year or 3-year policy, you can withdraw midway by giving The Prudential Assurance Co. Ltd. written notice of termination and returning the Insurance Card.
   
• If you withdraw during the first year of a 2-year policy, you will be refunded the second year premium. For withdrawals during the second year, no premium will be refunded.
   
• If you withdraw during the first year of a 3-year policy, you will be refunded the second and third years premium. For withdrawals during the second year, you will be refunded the third year premium. For withdrawal during the third year, no premium will be refunded.
   
• This plan is underwritten by The Ming An Insurance Co. (H.K.) Ltd.. The Prudential Assurance Co. Ltd. is responsible for the application and issuance of Accidental Emergency Medical Insurance Card.
   
• The China Accidental Emergency Medical Insurance is only applicable to the Hospital Network administrated by The International Emergency Assistance Centre, Ministry of Health, The People's Republic of China (for Gold Card holders), the Health Department of Guangdong Province and Fujian Provincial Health Bureau, The People's Republic of China (for Blue Card holders).
   
• You are requested to disclose any other facts known to you which are likely to affect acceptance or assessment of the insurance cover you are applying for. Should you have any doubts about what you should disclose, please feel free to contact us or your insurance consultant. You are recommended to keep a record (including copies of letters) of any additional information given for future reference. Failure to disclose may mean that the Policy will not provide you with the cover you require, or perhaps invalidates the Policy altogether.
   
• Your personal data is collected/used and may be transferred by our company to any relevant parties (within or outside Hong Kong) for processing this application and any claims; providing services, and any other communication and marketing purpose. You have the right to request access to and correction of any of your personal data. You are deemed to have accepted our company’s personal data policy which is available from our corporate website or our office.
   
• A specimen copy of the Policy and a copy of the completed Application Form will be provided on request.
   
• This Insurance plan will be valid 7 days after the acceptance of this application.
