Since its startup in 1986, founder and president, K.S. Lu has kept Leadtek firmly on track as a fiercely R&D-oriented company. This is reflected in the fact that more than half of our 300 employees are engaged in research and development that spans across a broad spectrum of the information technology industry - from graphics cards and multimedia, to the world's first mainboard with built-in super AGP. Some of our other products include video communication, video surveillance and global positioning devices.
A history of continual growth
In 1998, we received the second Good Customer's Service Golden Award in the Taiwan area. We also raised our capital substantially as we prepared to go public. In June 1999 we became a publicly listed company on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Our revenue exceeded US$65 million in the same year. Then, in 2000, we established a European marketing office in the Netherlands. This helped us raise our corporate image in the world market as an international company. Our annual sales that year surpassed US$132 million, and our history of growth continues.
