Usage & Application: Piracetam is a nootropic drug that has been studied to treat neurological and brain disorders, like dementia and seizures. It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, practically insoluble in aether.
While it is unknown exactly how piracetam works, it influences neuronal, vascular and cognitive functions. It is not a sedative or a stimulant. Patients taking piracetam have been noted with increased blood flow and oxygen to the brain, but researchers speculate that it may be due to increased brain activity.
